Naples-Amalphi-Capri-Pompeii

Arrival in Naples (by bus or by plane). Meeting at the arrival terminal in Naples with your English speaking tour guide. Transfer to the centrally located hotel**** by the wheelchair-accessible C4Y minibus. Check-in and after a short rest you’ll admire Naples and the splendor of its sea and its landscape: a spectacle that has no equal in the world, long celebrated in song by poets and musicians! The route goes from the harbor area where there are two of the main castles of Naples, Castel Nuovo and Castel dell’Ovo and continues along the waterfront ‘Via Caracciolo e Riviera di Chiaia, which, freed from car traffic, was returned to the city and to visitors as one of the the most beautiful walks in the world.
Free time for coffee and sfogliatella (a traditional Neapolitan pastry) in a cafe on the promenade.

DAY 1 A Warm Welcome!

Transfer by accessibile C4y minivan from the Capodichino Airport or from P.zza Municipio railway station to hotel.

After a short rest, a scenic bus ride along the promenade, a must for every tourist visiting Naples, in front of Vesuvius and the famous Castel dell’Ovo connected to the origin of the city and to the myth of the marmaid partenope. After a walk along the pedestrian‘LUNGOMARE LIBERATO’, we will pass by minivan through VIA CARACCIOLO and we’ll stop at villa pignatelli on The RIVIERA DI CHIAIA to admire its treasures of paintings, sculptures, old horse carriages, pottery and gardens. After a short stop for a neapolitan meal the tour will then continue towards the hill of Posillipo to enjoy the most unforgettable views over the bay and out on to horizon. Back at the hotel toh ave dinner and a restoring night sleep! THE TRIP IS LONG!

After breakfast, meeting with the guide and transfer by C4Y (adapted )minivan. Today you will discover the old town of Naples: with your English speaking guide you will walk from Piazza del Gesù on the famous Spaccanapoli street, and visit the church and the beautiful monastery of Santa Chiara .
At this point, lunch break ‘alla napoletana’ to taste typical Neapolitan ‘street food’ specialties:potato croquettes, rice balls, fried pizza, babà and sweet treats.
During the afternoon you will visit the museum with the ‘Cristo Velato’ (veiled Christ), the Duomo( the cathedral) , forever linked to the mysterious miracle of the liquefaction of the blood of San Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples.
Visit of the intricate central network of ancient dark alleyways up to San Gregorio Armeno where there are numerous “botteghe”, shops of craftsmen who sell figurines of the nativity shepherds. Here the tradition is very old and very marked.
At the end of the day, join a pizza cooking class to discover and try out the secrets of Original Pizza Napoletana and with final tasting for dinner. Good Appetite!
Return to hotel and overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast a panoramic bus ride up to the top of Vomero hill and San Martino square FOR our first 360° view of the imposing vesuvius volcano, of THE city and the GULF at its feet and then a visit to saint Elmo castle where we can reconstruct the whole history of the city. Then let’s enjoy a delicious traditional neapolitan meal !

In the afternoon a stroll downtown through the network of picturesque alleys of the historic center, an ancient museum under a honey blue mediterranean sky. the complex stratigraphy traces the past ages of the city following the succession of the different peoples who inhabited it. We will discover the ancient center declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO, with its baroque churches and fascinating religious complexes (such as the famous cloister of Santa Chiara) Back to the hotel :time to eat and good night!

EVERY EVENING guests can choose to eat outside at a typical local restaurant or pizzeria and AFTER DINNER before coming back to the hotel there is the possibility to

“ AN EVENING AT THE THEATRE “:A WIDE CHOICE OF PLAYS AND BALLETS AT TEATRO SAN CARLO,AUGUSTEO,METROPOLITAN,TEATRO NUOVO OR MERCADANTE THEATRE ( WITH TRANSLATION ON I PADS/I PHONES) , or “MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT”: LET’S DANCE, learn to SING SOME NEAPOLITAN SONGS and LISTEN TO MUSIC (jazz, rock, classical,opera,neomelodic, pop and whatever else is going on in Naples at the moment) !

DAY 3
Departing from Naples, we will lead visitors to the discovery of Hercolaneum, one of the archaeological sites destroyed by the eruption of 79 d.c. An experienced guide will make you relive the thrill of walking on the streets of an authentic Roman city, reading the inscriptions left by the inhabitants and reconstructing their history and their ways of living. TIME TO EAT!

In the afternoon visit to the MAV the virtual archeologic museum for a travel through time taking the visitors to the ancient Roman cities on the foot of the Vesuvius – the lively, commerce-centred Pompei and the and the pleasant, refined Ercolano. Multimedia tools facilitate the sensory experience and the feeling of actually being in the internal and external areas of the town, involved in the everyday life scenes recreated with 3D technology.

Today you will visit Sorrento. The itinerary revolves around the centre on a high tuff terrace overlooking the sea from a 50 metres height. The route is pleasant and interesting, thanks to the great variety of cultural, historical and naturalistic points of interest, that will remain impressed in the heart of the visitors just as it tells the famous song played by Dean Martin and Pavarotti “ Torna a Surriento”.
Light Lunch at a restaurant.
Among these, the golden explosion of the famous Agrumeto (citrus fruits) and the breathtaking view of the high coast falling into the sea, opposite the island of Capri, from the green oasis of Villa Comunale. From here you will visit the elegant Corso Italia and the picturesque small streets filled with tasty gastronomy and local craftsome, some barrier-free churches and Chiostri and then you will find out how to prepare the limoncello liqueur from the giant lemons. Free time for shopping and strolling. In the late afternoon return to Naples.

DAY 4

Transfer to Sorrento by accessible c4y minivan a walk through the alleys of the city with their flowered balconies, the stunning views, outdoor dining, and souvenir shops. Walking through its streets, you can hear the sound of mandolins and the smell of the sweet scent of fresh lemons, from which we get the famous limoncello.

LET’S taste a savory cake along with a glass of the famous local liqueur made with fresh lemons from the groves of sorrento! Back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

In the evening shopping for one of a kind gifts among the local cre’che and nativity scene artisans at san Gregorio Armeno. Then over to the Duomo, the Cathedral of Naples fover linked to the misterious miracle of the liquification of the blood of san Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples , where the faithful still invoke his protection and blessing

Half day excursion with English speaking tour guide.
Today transfer to Pompeii, one of the most important archaeological settlements in Italy. You’ll visit the Faun’s House, the Centurian’s House, the Villa of Mysteries, and so on. Pompeii is a unique and unforgettable experience
The guided city tour in German will take about 2 hours and half.

Return to Naples.
