SPORT AND VACATION : SAILING IN THE PARTENOPEAN GULFS

 Meeting at the arrival terminal with our operator – transfer by accessible c4y minivan to hotel and then start of the tour along the panoramic route from Mergellina along the charming street Via Posillipo whose ancient Greek name, Pausilypon, tells the tale of a place where people go to “find relief from their griefs” and the Virgiliano park where we can enjoy visits to the sumptuous villas, which now house universities and meetings, and to Roman ruins; then  the tour continues, focusing on the up to the promontory  of Coroglio from where it is possible to see both the gulf of Naples and the gulfs of the Campi Flegrei: the gulf of Bagnoli and the Gulf of Pozzuoli and the facing islands. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.        

After breakfast transfer by accessible c4y minivan to Nisida for the First day of sailing course; instructors and volunteers will teach the basics of how to conduct a sailing boat in safety, comfort, and fun while yu will have the pleasure of  discovering the shoreline from the sea, starting from the beautiful beach of Coroglio, going to Capo Miseno and then admiring the spectacular small inlets, the bays and the seafaring villages. Lunch at a typical restaurant. After lunch return to the hotel for a short rest; in the late afternoon we leave for a walk along Via dei Mille; shopping time! Visitors can buy everything from antiques to designer clothes. Return to the hotel for dinner and bed.

Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the guide and departure by
 minibus to Nisida for the second lesson of Sailing. At the end of the lesson, meeting with the tour guide and departure for the Campi Flegrei. The itinerary has been designed to offer an enjoyable aesthetic experience of the contrasting nature of this area where on one side there is Bagnoli, the ancient Balneolum thermal spring, which stretches under the hill in a place of the warm climate and blooming, rich vegetation and thermal spa sources,  to the vast arid volcanic area of Naples located northwest of the city of Naples. Here you will visit the Solfatara Volcano, the most famous of at least twenty-four volcanic craters and volcanic structures recognizable today, in which you can observe sulphurous fumes, fumaroles and small explosions of boiling mud . Lunch in a typical restaurant along the way. In the late afternoon return to the hotel, dinner and bed.

Breakfastat the hotel, transfer  by accessible c4y minivan for III meeting of ‘corso di Vela’ to the Molosiglio port , a small marina next to the harbor of the city in front of the coast guard and the headquarters of the most beautiful of Neapolitan nautical clubs. Neapolitan pizza at lunch at a famous Neapolitan club. In the afternoon meeting with the guide and departure to admire the famous underground galleries of Naples, numerous ‘art metropolitan stations’. The city administration/local government has transformed the unattractive stops of the Naples’ underground into fascinating places where citizens and visitors can encounter contemporary art in an avant garde architectural setting while using public transportation services. These unconventional museums, that we all pass through on a daily basis, cover the entire urban area, providing a unique added value and international fame (as witnessed by the recent adwarding of Toledo Station as the most beautiful metro station in Europe). Back to hotel,dinner and overnight.

After breakfast transfer to 
Molosiglio by accessible c4y
minivan for the third day of
 sailing course . After the class,
packed lunch break  and departure with the
 guide towards Herculaneum. Named after Hercules – who is said to be the one who founded the town, resort of the wealthy Romans. The archaeological area offers an itinerary developed for visitors with impaired physical mobility, with the route passing on two sloping ramps covering three non-consecutive segments and arriving to the Cardo Terzo Inferiore. The Roman roads twist and turn among the Cardi and the Decumani, perpendicular areas whose sidewalks are now linked to the road by metal grid platforms. In the late afternoon back to hotel, free time – dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast transfer to Molosiglio by accessible c4y minivan for the fifth sailing course meeting . After the lesson we leave for a pleasant walk in the ancient center of the city with a stop at the Basilica of San Gennaro – lunch along the way – continue along Via Caracciolo and the Riviera di Chiaia for a pleasant walk along the seafront. to give visitors an idea of how the history of Naples evolved and how its coastline has been transformed over the years to make room for the development of the city center. Naples’ historical passion for maritime trade and seamanship is also made evident, remnants are explored which provide testimony to numerous hard-fought waterfront battles, in which Naples’ legendary bastion fortifications not only defended the royal court and its noblemen, but also many local merchants. These bastions were extremely powerful, well-equipped, and able to blast an impressive amount of munitions throughout the entire gulf. It is possible to visit Villa Pignatelli and Castel dell ‘Ovo. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at hotel and departure for the sixth lesson of sailing course at Molosiglio. At the end of the lesson, a small celebration and delivery of the certificates . Transfer to the departure terminal. End of services.
